Celebrating Abingdon's countryside location
On 11th May 2024, make Abingdon Market Place your basecamp for the day. Join local walkers offering a range of guided and self-guided walks.
Event runs 9am to 4pm. Walks go out between 9.30am and 2pm. Pre-registration via this webpage from 15th April.
A historic town centre in the heart of the countryside
The perfect basecamp
Abingdon-on-Thames has a historic town centre with the added benefit of countryside right on the doorstep. You can be drinking a latte in the Market Place one minute and walking on a National Trail just two minutes later; the Thames Path runs past just a hundred yards away.
Walks
Range of walks on offer from 45 mins to 5 hours
The local branch of the Ramblers will be offering a choice of walks to experience the best local routes around Abingdon.
Abingdon Community Walks will be offering short walks between 45 minutes and one hour.
