Easter Eggstravaganza

Saturday 30th March 2024 in Abingdon Market Place
9am - 4pm

Break out of the winter blues and welcome the spring at our family fun day on the Market Place.

Egg Hunt Trail and Easter crafts to try for free. Local food stalls. Live music and local dancers performing.

Chocolate Workshops (there is a charge for these).

Follow our updates on the Local Excellence Markets facebook page.

Thanks to OXLEP for supporting this project. Thanks to BH&O LLP for kindly organising and providing prizes for the Easter Egg Hunt Trail.

Thanks to One Planet Abingdon Climate Emergency Centre and the Recycled Bag Lady for joining us in the crafts area.

Egg Hunt Trail

Complete the trail and win an egg!

Well, maybe we've given away clue number one here ... find the BH&O stall in the Market Place to pick up your entry form and then write down the colour of each egg you find as well as the "eggstremely annoying" comment associated with each one.

The trail will follow a pavement route up Bury Street, into Bath Street and back via the High Street. There will be no need to cross any busy roads but all children should be accompanied on the trail by parents or carers.

When you have found all 12 eggs, return to the Market Place to the BH&O stall to claim your prize!

BH&O LLP is the family law practice based in The Square at 1-3 Ock Street. We thank them for making sure that every child successfully completing the Egg Hunt Trail will get a chocolate egg prize.

Easter Crafts area

We will be working with One Planet Abingdon Climate Emergency Centre to offer some great recycling crafts in our craft area.

Bunny Ears from recycled card; an Easter basket with your own bean plants growing inside; join in as we paint our Easter Duck (sorry we couldn't find a chick!) and celebrate Earth Day by making an Earth Day card.
